Lexie Smiles

A graduate of the Queensland College of Art and recipient of the Vice Chancellor Performance Award in 2014 as Academic Success Advisor for the School of Design in the Creative Industries faculty, Lexie is a highly accomplished artist and art educator. Lexie's wealth of experience includes teaching children, tertiary students, and adults holding appointments at the Queensland College of Art, University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology, TAFE, and a long term affiliation with Lilly-Lee.

Drawing and painting have been a constant love in her life and for her it is a joy to offer these skills to others. Watercolour, oils, acrylics, markers, pastels, pencils, pen and ink are mediums which students can explore with Lexie, who loves seeing the growth and satisfaction people derive from their art.

 

As a watercolour specialist, Lexie also produces work on commission.
